Guess what a bored professor does on his spare time, particularly this physiology professor whose an avid fan of the Ohio Stadium. He said that if he bought all those lego brick's brand new this build would have cost him up to $75,000. Good thing you can get those from second hand traders. But this professor had a good cause for doing this, his trying to use this as a fundraiser for heart failure and muscular dystrophy research. Good Job Professor!

I'm not afraid to say I love drinking milk even at my tender age right now. But milk has so much good stuff in it. I put in my coffee, in my protein shake or just by it plain self. Hot or cold doesn't really matter but seeing something like this makes drinking milk so much fun. It might be nonsense to someone but the humor got the best of me. I know it say's soy but to me milk is milk regardless, so I wouldn't mind having one of this inside our fridge.

Legoland + Star Wars

I've met people who are die hard Star Wars fans, and I can't blame them for being so. I'm no die hard fan but I do like the Star Wars movies. And I know my sister wants to go to Lego Land in San Diego which is like a 2 hour drive coming from Los Angeles. I'm really not fonded of driving for long hours but after seeing this pics I wouldn't mind going back to Lego Land. I've read that there is some 2000 hand built models to be exhibit or shown at Lego Land, I'm just hoping they're coming in Lego Land California and not just the Florida location. Another trip to be put on schedule for this year. So we'll see...

Being lazy is no problem for me so when I saw this very cozy chair. I can imagine myself planted deep within the cushion. It's made out of sail which makes it more interesting. Very simple design yet very functional. I wish I could get one for the apartment hahaha!

Mountain Biking: Wildwood Park

A week after the ride in Caballero, we decided to do go riding again but this time in Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks. This is a very nice trail, you go upand up some more, and once your on top this is when it becomes exciting!! hahaha Going downhill is such fun, especially when your riding with good people makes it twice the fun. Mountain Biking: Caballero Trail

Before my Bahamas trip, I stop biking due to the cold weather. Biking in the winter is not my cup of tea so it's been a while since I last touch my mountain bike. It's been collecting dust since the start of the winter. So when a friend of mine asked me to join them after I got back from my Bahamas cruise, I didn't hesitate to say Yes! This is my first time riding this trail, very technical uphill with a fun downhill hahaha Remind you this was my first so I may look really exhausted hahaha

So after coming home from our Bahamas cruise, we decided to take a drive to Malibu just so we can breath the air coming from the ocean. We're still on vacation mode so we had lunch somewhere in Malibu and stroll along the beach. Took some pictures while reminiscing our recent trip and planning for future ones hehehe

I was tired and exhausted but had so much fun during those 4 days on the ship. I met a lot of people, shared a few stories here & there. On our last day in Bahamas, we decided to try snorkeling... Good thing we did because it was so awesome. It was both our first time trying it and believe me this wouldn't be the last. We enjoyed watching the fish and chasing them just to get a decent pic hahaha We didn't came prepare so instead of using our G10 we ended up buying a Kodak disposable water proof camera, suffice to say it did it's purpose and we're happy with the result but for next time will be more prepared. So on with the pics....

Last Day in Bahamas..

Our last day in Bahamas was spent at the beautiful beach in Great Stirrup Cay, which I think is Norwegian's own beach. Only Norwegian Sky passengers was allowed in this island. And you can only go to this island by boat from the ship. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we decided to go para-sailing and snorkeling, which I'll post in a later date so watch out for it. The beach was packed as everyone was waiting for this day to get their tanned on. There were lots of food, fun & games at the island, there's also a band playing reggae/beach music. It was very relaxing! I was really happy that we we're able to spend our anniversary on Bahamas. Until next time, so on with the pics! Yah' Man!!

Here are some interior pics of the Norwegian Sky cruise ship, this is a very big ship. I was amuse and astonished on how the ship's interior was laid out. It was put in with the thought of easy access for all the passengers. Lot's of friendly staffs and very clean. So on with the pics....

So here are some aquarium pictures we took while inside the Atlantis, unfortunately we only have outside pics because it's too expensive to go inside for something to lasted only 15 mins hahaha I guess I was just being cheap that time but suffice to say the outside pics come out nice. Bahamas Cruise: 2nd day, Atlantis!

So our 2nd day at Bahamas was totally spent exploring the Atlantis, the world renowned hotel on its own island. If you check in here I don't see any reason of going out of the hotel. It has every thing you needed within it's walls. The Atlantis has a Vegas-typed vibe within it's interior. But one thing that stands out is it's aquarium. You could snorkel within it's big aquarium and mingle with the different type of fish they had. After checking the hotel, we just walk around the island checking it's market, buying some local souvenirs and buying some shirt at Hard Rock cafe Bahamas hahaha Anyway, here's some of our pics. Part 2 of the pics will be posted tomorrow... I can't fit the whole thing in one post hahaha

Let me cut the Bahamas vacation blog with this Legoland trip. So last Sunday my wife and I went to Legoland with our friends. If you grew up playing with Lego's you'll love this place. Everything is made with Lego and they're humongous! Kid's will love this place, even adults too hahaha It's not as big as Disney but you'll like it. Lots of rides for kids. Food is a bit pricey but that's usual for place like this. Here are some of our pics... for more go check this link

Grand Bahama Island/Freeport Harbor: Canoeing Excursion

First Day, First Excursion! We had so much fun on this excursion! I would consider this one of the most unforgettable things we did in Bahamas hehehe We get to paddle our canoe 's along a mangrove forest with so many trails it so easy to get lost. After a tiring yet very fun canoeing we ended up at a very secluded beach inside the Lucayan Park. It's one of the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. It's so peaceful and calm, that's why after eating I couldn't resist to take a swim hahaha My wife and I had a very good and memorable time with this excursion. And we cherish that moment we had in this beautiful place. Hope to see you again soon....

Bahamas Cruise: Grand Bahama Island/Freeport Harbour

First stop, Grand Bahama Island also known as Freeport Harbour. It's a very small island with very little population with lots of palm trees. This was our first day in Bahamas not a lot of things to do here except choosing your excursion. You have to be wise in choosing yours because there's a lot of them but it's almost the same thing. We did a canoeing & lunch at the beach excursion. We had a very nice time canoeing, we met some very nice people from Boston/NY & Canada. I'll update with some more pics of the said excursion but for now here's some pics for you...

Norwegian Sky Cruise

Here we go with my updates... So last January my wife and I celebrated our first year wedding anniversary by going on a cruise, Bahamas to be specific. It was our first time being on a cruise and we enjoyed it so much! We flew from LA to Miami, and then drove to Port of Miami where the ship was docked. It was so amazing seeing a lot of cruise ships in one place, they're so huge and each one is different from one another from the excursion to the ships exterior. So I'll start with some pictures of our ship, the Norwegian Sky.

I just came home from WheelWorld in Woodland Hills. After 3 days of waiting, I got my Stumpy backed with a shorter chain, new brake pads & freshly tuned-up/maintenance. The reason of this is because I've been riding my bike almost every week at least 1-2 times. Just trying to get my legs ready for the summer for more biking. SO far the bike felt good with crisp pedaling and smooth shifting. I'll try to post some recent bike pics.... Until then ride safe everyone.

After watching the Cavaliers beat the Lakers last Christmas, I was torn in getting the Kobe V Chaos, it was too bright, the colors are hard to match etc. etc. But after going to my local Footlocker to get the scoop on this, I can't let it passed! First observation was the V's is a bit lighter compare to the IV's, it looks slimmer and fit tighter. Don't get me wrong I still love my IV's but I have to admit, I'm starting to like this V's... So I went to the LA Convention Center to catch a glimpse of the renowned LA Auto Show. It's where the present and the future of car innovation is at it's best. Car makers bring in there 2010 lineup plus some concepts and race cars on display. It was my first time coming to this show and I had a good time looking and riding the cars on display. I dont get to do this everyday, It's not like I can ride inside a Audi S4 or BMW 750 Series hahaha So here's some pics my wife took @ the show....

Located inside the Arlington cemetery is JFK's tomb. Here, is where he lies right next to his wife. One of, if not the most important places in the US. You have to pay your respect to the president is your around the D.C. area. This place is very clean and quiet, which equals the serenity of the place. Located behind the Arlington Amphitheater is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. One of the most special spot in the Arlington Cemetery. This place is guarded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since July 2 1937. There's a change of guard every 30 minutes during summer time, we were lucky enough to have seen it. It's a very well coordinated and you have to be silent at this moment. This is a must see place is your around the D.C. area, So on with the pics...

The Arlington Cemetery in Virginia is one special place for the people of the United States. This is where all the heroes, soldiers and past U.S. president have been lay to rest. Located 20-30 minutes outside Washington D.C. It's a "must" tourist location if you're around the DC area. I like this place because of it's meaning to the history of the United States. In here you'll find the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and JFK's tomb as with his family. I'll make a separate post about those. So on with the pics...

Haven't really used my SLR for awhile now... Last time I fired it was back in July and only for a moment... As I'm not having it that day. Too bulky to walk around with so I used the G10 for most of the time now hahaha But as I was cleaning my drawers, I saw my prime lens, collecting dust. It's been awhile since my last post... Haven't been doing really much. So last Friday, me and my wife went hiking. Up the top we can see part of the valley. It's a very spectacle view... The wind, the sun and the view makes up the whole trip worth while. We'll be doing this again next week hahaha Hopefully, if my legs can make it!

So with nothing to do today, I decided to go biking around here in the valley. I've been trying to look a decent spot to go mountain biking and I found one by mistake. I was biking around the neighborhood when I saw one mountain biker, I decided to follow him and see where he goes. Going uphill in towards Walnut Avenue past the golf course will take you to Stough Park. And alas! Towards the parking lot there's a gate that leads to a fire road, mostly for hiking purposes only, but what the heck! So after almost an hour of going uphill because of constant stop to regain my leg strength and drink lotsa water I reached the top hahaha Armed with only my camera phone I started taking pics.... It was a beautiful place where you can see part of San Fernando valley. Going back home was easy as riding downhill was fast and decent. I decided that this will be my weekly bike exercise plus the bike path. So on with the pics...

Last weekend I went to Mammoth mountain with a group of bikers from United Adobo. It was my first time going there and meeting most of them, except Master Xandei. We all had a blast, as we enjoy carving the trails and trying to tackle them as fast as we could hahaha After the first ride I opted out for an easier one hehehe Anyway, I had fun! Away from the Valley...

So every time I get fed-up or stressed by the fast paced life here in LA... I always go to Malibu to find my peace of mind... I'm not sure if it's the ocean, the waves or the easy / laid back style of the people that goes here. But Malibu is my place of Zen, aside from Bermuda of course. This is where I feel relaxed. I always come here to eat at Neptune's Net, followed by a drive along the coast... I used to come here a lot with my dad as he loves going here also. But now that his with the creator, I tagged my wife along on this trip. It's a 45 minutes to an hour drive from the valley, it's very worth it because it has it's own beautiful scenery along the way. I just don't like going here during summer, aside from the heat, the beaches are packed to... Causing traffic along Malibu hahaha Just sit, lay back and grab your Corona... Just let the breeze calm you down.

So since we're having a long weekend because of the Labor day holiday. My wife and I decided to have lunch at Neptune's Net, which is located in Malibu. And since it's summer, we kinda expected the heavy traffic... It took us 2 hours to reach our destination, normally it only takes us 45 to 1 hour on a regular day. I was never really a fan of plants nor flowers... For me it's such a responsibility to make sure it blossoms. So if ever I will get one, I want something that requires less attention nor caring haha So I decided to get a so called "Lucky Bamboo Plant", they say the numbers of plant pertains to something like 2 stalks signify luck, 3-6 stalks symbolizes happiness and so on... But knowing the lazy me, I decided to only get 1 hahaha Anyway, I got this last April, and now after 4 months on constant watering and lil' sun light.... It show me it's own beauty... Lance Armstrong Wins Leadville 100

Hats off to Mr. Armstrong for winning the event on flat tire... He left everyone just after 35 miles and wined the event with no one near him. He beat former champ, David Wiens, who beat him last year at the same event. Lance said he'll be back next year to defend his title. But now Wiens, who's 7 years senior to Armstrong, he said he might call it quits by that time. Congrats again to Armstrong. LIVESTRONG!

Central Park, we're in NY!

So last month, my wife and I decided to go to New York for her b-day. Of course, If you go to New York, then you definitely have to go to Central Park, which is in the middle of the city. It's surrounded by lots of building, shops and apt/condominiums. After taking the subway, which I say is a must if your traveling in NY coz' it's hard to find a parking spot or garage and it's very expensive! Just take the subway and walk, you'll be suprise with the things that you'll see or caught your eyes. Anyway, Central Park is a big park, I've never been to a park like this big except maybe Luneta in Manila but I think Central Park is much more bigger. We went there on a weekend so there was a lot of people hanging around, just chilling. Some are reading books, having a picnic with family or just plain sun bathing hahaha As much as we want to stay and go around we couldn't coz of time. We have to be at the airport 4hrs after for out flight to LA. But it was fun... maybe, I said maybe will go back there again in NY some time... So here are some pics that we took while there... After a few push and pull from my friends, I decided to go ahead and get my own moutain bike, got a good deal for it. It was supposed to be on sale, that's why I decided to get it hahaha Anyway, I promise to join them trail riding up here in Socal, which has a lots of trails not far from where I lived. Reminds you this is my first time having a full suspension bike, so I;m not used to sudden sag or bounce from the suspension hahaha So yesterday I pulled along the wifey so we can go biking as I accustom myself to this bike. I am happy that I finally get one, had a great time with the wifey yesterday but my legs are sored! hahaha Haven't been biking since the beginning of winter and till now, summer. But I'll start biking once again every chance I get. A good start for a healthy living. Finally... I had time to write something in my blog tonight hehehe it's been a while since the last time I updated my blog... maybe it's because of the gloomy weather of June, that's making me or I hope everyone lazy hahaha I think it's just me hehehe Anyway, the Los Angeles Lakers wins the NBA championship! Kobe got his 4th while Phil Jackson got his 10th. A very special moment for the Lakers team as it was an all out effort from the whole team. Each putting his own work for the common cause, redemption! hahaha Also my wife is now a LEGAL alien here in the U.S of A it took forever but worth the wait... My mom and my sis was here for 3 weeks vacation, just trying to get out the busy smoky weather of P.I. Recession is still on goin here... not as bad as before but we're still unsure of what will happen... North Korea is threatening to start something... by being a knucklehead. Iran just had an election which I think is full of s__t! Anyway, I'm still alive and kicking, just trying to get by each day. I'll try to update more often from now on... I said I'll try... don't expect to much hahaha Anyway, Peace y'all! Carpe DIem!

I just finish doing an oil change for my car... I enjoy doing it since I save a 'lil bit rather than taking the car to the dealer or anywhere plus I put a full synthetic oil compare to the conventional oil that the dealer put. Anyway, Im a bit exhausted cuz I rotated my tires too hahaha hitting two birds with one stone. Im cleaning my air filter now as I typed, I'm gonna buy a new cabin filter later today at Honda. Thumbs up for those DIY'ers out there! 'Nuff said...

So my goal this summer is to learn how to play soccer or futbol in other parts of the world... don't ask me why cuz I don't know too... but I really want this to work hehehe So I decided to join a soccer league. This Sunday might be my first game, I said might be cuz I really don't know how to play and I have no experienced playing futbol... but anyway, I'll force myself to learn and I have someone who'll be teaching me hehehe I realized there's a lot of soccer league around here in LA. So once I get acquainted I'll try to join another league hahaha I just wanna be fit and healthy this summer. Tomorrow I'll try to post some pics of my cheap ass cleats I got from the outlet, eventually once I get more better I'll probably buy a Nike Vapor... 'Nuff said... On with the dream!

This shoe was a House of Hoops exclusive, only release at 3 different location in the nation. There's one in New York, in Los Angeles and in Chicago, where this shoes came from hahaha It was so exclusive people where lining up outside the shop 24 hrs before they open and remind you I'm not an early bird so, I asked someone to buy it for me in Chicago hahaha Anyway, it cost a 'lil above retail which is not that bad... After seeing my co-worker eat his lunch the other day... It reminds me of my favorite place to be while growing up in Pasig City. I always go to this place after going to the church, 'cuz its across the street hehehe and it's still my favorite place years after... Jollibee, the place to be! is what comes to my mind everytime I hear or see this place. Every time I go back to the Philippines I always make it to a point to go there at least once a day, either for breakfast or lunch, I never missed it. It brings me back to my childhood days... kinda corny but it's true, so don't laughed. And now I'm here in the U.S. I always make to a point to go there, remind you Jollibee has a couple of locations here in Cali but I've only been on 3 of them. There's something about the colors that attracted me into it hahaha But there's also something inside me saying "No" bcoz the Phoenix Sun's is the division rival of the Lakers hahaha Anyway, very comfy basketball shoes I must say. So here's something to show my love for the game of basketball and kicks... What we have right here is Nike Powermax, designed for Greg Oden in Portland Blazers colorway. This is the same shoes that Oden wears when he plays. Been eyeing this one at House of Hoops for quite awhile from now hahaha I just had the guts to buy it today... 'Nuff said on with the pics.

Kobe IV: Carpe Diem

Finally I got my Carpe Diem's... Release on Jan.17 here in the US in selected Footlocker/House of Hoops only. I had to go to 2 stores to get this. The first store a.k.a House of Hoops L.A. didn't have my size, it's ok 'cuz it was my other excuse to drive all the way to Beverly Center. So I called my local Footlocker and they have it. Got there, tried it and copped it! I kinda like the way this fit, the inside of the shoes kinda hugs my foot. It is very light indeed. You gotta love Kobe brah! As far as I know this wouldn't be my last pair of the IV's hahaha! Time to save up! Check out this Ankle Insurance Ad, might need it!

Sleeping Beauty

Every person deserves a good night rest, after a stressful day we need to give our body a well deserve rest to regain energy for the upcoming day. A friend of mine complains about not having enough sleep, coming to work grumpy and sleepless. Yawning every chance he can. So I asked him what seems to be the problem, he said his been having short sleep, waking up in the middle of the night and sometimes even having back or neck pain the following morning. I suggested that he change his bed. The bed defines how you sleep at night, if its too hard or too soft you might have pain in your back or neck the following morning. The reason behind this is the posture our body when we sleep. It's a very important thing to reconsider. So I showed him my bed and told him how well I sleep at night, getting as much as 9-8 hours of sleep, waking up happy and not having aches in my back or neck. My bed is so comfy that I don't wake up in the middle of the night. I even gave him advice on how to keep his bed looking nice. A comfy bed, matched with soft pillows and mattress is fit for a king. It's one of those day when I really don't have much to do... By default I'm always in front of my iMac, just doing basicly nothing but surfing and listening to music. And then boredom bit me again. So I decided to take pics of the 3 nearest things around me that are arm's reach, while listening to Red Hot Chili Pepper's "By The Way".... So I took my trusty XSi and fire away.

Introducing... the world's smallest video recorder! hahaha indeed its small for it's size but it packs alot when you see the HD video quality this thing has. Good things comes in small package is what best describe the Flip Mino, measuring at a size not bigger than my iphone and slimmer too... It was another stressfull day coz the Lakers lost against New Orlean... blaaahh!!! Anyway, so what did I do to cheer myself up? I start messing up with some of my pics hahaha something I do every now and then to help kill time or to get me sleepy... So what I did tonight is took a S.O.O.C. pic, try and edit it on my own then do another one by using action on the same pic. So here's what I came up after the jump off.
